The funding provided by them will be used to reduce the costs that would otherwise have to be paid by the individual team members.

Loch Teams Fundraiser
Parkview - 10th February 2018
Our second fundraiser, organised by Wullie Simpson, was held at Parkview Fishery on 10th February in near perfect conditions. It was cold wet and stormy when most competitors set off for the fishery but in addition to the excellent fishing and catering provided by Jim and Edna the wind dropped and the rain went off by the time the match started. A total of 154 fish were caught by the twenty competitors and included in these were superb specimens of 15lbs, 8lbs, 7lbs, 5lbs and 4lbs.
Prizes for the match were provided by Fishers, Angus Angling, Sierra, Flash Attack and Millhall Fishery. The Scottish Loch teams wish to thank all of the competitors and those that provided prizes and purchased raffle tickets.
Top rod on the day was Autumn Team captain, Ray Anderson, who landed 14 fish plus a monster estimated to 15lbs. Bonus points were awarded for fish over 4lbs and that 15 pound trout put Ray in first place over local angler Dougie Couper who had 15 fish. Third place went to Lenny McKenna who had 13 fish including a superb trout of 8lbs which put him just ahead of Rab Maxwell who also had 13.

The first of our three fundraiser competitions started as normal with the Scottish Loch Teams Fundraiser Cup at Markle on 3rd February. A full contingent of 60 competitors put their flies on the three ponds and between them caught 141 fish. The competition was organised by Jock Kettles of the Autumn Team and throughout the day he was assisted by five team members and quite a few previous internationalists.
Jonnathan Swift and his staff at Markle had the fishery in great condition and the soup and pies they provided at lunchtime (along with Mrs Mackenzie's cakes) were enjoyed by all.
Prizes for the match were provided by Fishers, Wychwood, Sierra, Airflo, Angus Angling, FNF Flyfishing, Flybox, Fritznflies, Swanston Golf Club, The Rose House, Seamus Kelly, Stenhouse Fishery, Millhall Fishery, Hawick AC, Johnstons of Elgin, Love Cashmere Hawick, The Salutation Hotel, Gleneagles Shooting and Fishing School and many others.
Pegs were sponsored by Mick Tait Plumbing, Lyle and Scott, Borders Distillery, Anglers Creel, James Haig & Sons and ND Barrett Ltd. Each competitor was given a miniature of whisky by R & M Distributors Ltd.
