Heat 11 - 14th July
Just for a change it stayed dry all night and the sun shone for most of the evening. However there was an edge to the wind which gradually increased in strength as the night progressed and by the end of the session it was chilly. Twelve teams were out and many of the competitors found it hard going.
Top team on the night was the Clan Chiefs team of Barrie Robertson (5 fish) Alan Ramshaw (4 fish) and Max McInstrey (2 fish). Their 11 fish weighed 28lb 15oz. Second were Leslie & Glenrothes with 11 fish for 26lb 9oz. Their team was Neil Duff (1 fish), Raymond Anderson (8 fish) and Stevie Anderson (2 fish). The third team was Dows FF with 10 fish for 24lb 9oz. Their team was Stewart Montgomery (6 fish), Abigail Montgomery (4 fish) and Jim Dick. These three teams go through to the semi final on 21st September.

Heat 10 - 7th July
It was a tougher night than of late, with a flat calm of a night but there was still a respectable catch of fish. The fish are averaging just under the 3lbs at present (2lb 13.5oz) and at this weight a higher percentage are lost and 10lb fluorocarbon is recommended.
Roofer Kenny Hunter from Gargunnock netted all five of his fish in Gateside Bay. He was fishing a cat booby and blob with a midge tip line and latterly changed to a fast glass line. Kenny was broken twice and lost also dropped two.
