2009 Spring International
Chew Valley Lake - 15th May 2009
Conditions on the practice days were excellent but, as so often seems to happen, the weather took a turn and on competition day it was cold, wet and windy. This was a closely contested event at which Wales found the better quality trout to take the gold medal. At the end of the day Wales had 44 trout for 101.26lbs which was heavier than the 47 trout for 99.91lbs landed by England. Scotland also had 44 trout but their weight of 94.34lbs put them in 3rd place.
