Spring International
Llyn Trawsfynydd, Wales
22nd May 2026
On the day of the international all four countries had good bags of fish with a total of 579 trout being caught. The match was full catch and release with each fish that made the 30cm mark being measured and rewarded with 20 points plus 1 point for each centimetre of length.
There were strong winds on the days leading up to the match with no boats allowed out on the Wednesday. Fortunately the wind eased on competition day. The gold medal went to Scotland with their hail of 199 fish. Silver went to England with 154 with Wales third with 112 and Ireland fourth with 114.
