A storm was forecast to hit on Friday 3rd October which threatened the Champion of Champions match and the presentation dinner. On the morning of the championship it was decided to bring forward the finish time to 4pm from the scheduled 5pm. The management at the Rob Roy Hotel, where the presentation dinner was held, agreed to bring forward the meal time to 5.30pm from the scheduled 6.30pm and we wish to thank them for making this change at short notice.
56 competitors took part and between them they netted 98 fish for 228lb 4.6oz of which three were over 5lb and two were over 4lb. The match was fished to a one fish kill followed by catch and release with 2lb awarded for each released fish. Trout were capped at 4lb. The top six from each of the Saturday night heats of the Scottish Club Championship qualify for a place in the Champion of Champions. Qualifiers who cannot take up their place are replaced by the competitor finished 7th and then continue down the result to fill all six places.
The session started in near perfect conditions with a light breeze and cloud cover. The rain started about 11am and gradually got heavier as the day processed and fortunately the strong winds didn't come until after the boats were off the water which gave Quint and Douglas time to pull the boats up the shore.

In second place with 6 trout for 12lb 6.3oz was the 2025 National Champion Brian Kennedy of Glasgow Post Office AC. Brian received a £100 prize.
In third place with 6 trout for 12lb 3.9oz was Peter Shepherd of Bridge of Allan 76 AC. Peter received a prize of £100. He is on the Scottish Club Championship committee.
